While working at Hearst Digital Media, Apple News was experimenting with different paid/free models with content from Hearst’s leading magazine brands. This would later become the Apple News+ product. Worked with Apple product owners, engineers, and alongside Hearst magazine brand directors for Cosmopolitan, Popular Mechanics, Marie Claire, Esquire, and O the Oprah Magazine. Developed interaction design, wireframes, and visual design based on brands’ individual design systems to work within the Apple News ecosystem. Created dev-ready specs and oversaw the visual development with Apple engineers to create responsive templates for internal software that converted Adobe InDesign files from the print magazines directly into interactive HTML5.
